Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Houston

President's Vision Tour Committee

Upcoming PVT events. Parent and PVT member meeting Monday May 12th during first class time.  We will discuss where we want to go  to do demos and help people who don't have as much as some of us.  In working wtih others who have less than us we will teach our children how to always be kind and understanding.  On May 24th we will be holding a garage sale, we will be handing out coupons, and have demos going on.   In July we will be having  a picnic at Lost Creek Park. Everyone will be in their school T-shirt, while we do demos, play games, and enjoy some great BBQ.
For the month of March we aquired 10 new students!  Nine of them  were just parents who called looking for information about the school.  They liked what they heard and after visiting the school they signed their children up.  One child is the son of a teacher at one of the schools that Williams, Sa Bon Nim teaches at.
Our biggest exposure to the art is coming thru the classes Williams Sa Bom Nim teaches at the public schools.  We have a total of 8 schools now,  with an average of 75 students , it is a great way to get the name of our Art out there. Some of these students  started  taking our classes in kindergarten and are still students now that they are in the 5th grade. We have had 5 students join our classes at our Do Jang while enrolled at their elelmentary schools.  We have gained 5 Dan members from the Houston Community College, we currently have 40 students taking  a college credited course in physical ed thru Soo Bahk Do.  Sa Bom Nim teaches 27 classes a week outside of the Do Jang, remember you might be eligable to help Sa Bom Nim with these classes and in doing so help our art grow thus helping the Presidents Vision.  There is only one Moo Duk Kwan and it begins with you!

Doesn't look like we do much does it?  Little do you know about the discussions Addison, Master, Willers, Kyo Sa, Williams, Sa Bom, and I always have.  We need people who can make the meetings.  Better yet: you have some good ideas, let one of us know!
